Monday, June 19, 2017 – Wall Paper Scraping,

Jared Willyerd in the FM painting department is putting on a big push to get the FM Director’s house done by Wednesday. It turns out that there is a very good reason for the push. The house that Jordan Bodily and his family are in now must be used by the influx of performers and staff involved in this summer’s pageants.
Today there were ten of us stripping wallpaper at the Director’s new house. It is a huge house and stripping the wallpaper is a slow process. One of the things slowing us down is using a bucket full of water and soaking the old wallpaper with wet towels. Sis. Johnson was wondering why we weren’t using spray bottles full of hot water. So today I went to FM’s warehouse of supplies and requisitioned 10 new spray bottles. Wow, they have speeded us up a lot. Today we got a lot more done than on any previous day. There is still more to do but there is a light at the end of the tunnel now.
Last week we got a surprise text that my nephew Jerry Ferguson and his family are planning a trip to Nauvoo. Well, today they arrived and they were able to come and watch Sis. Johnson and I perform in our stage variety show, “Sunset by the Mississippi.”  Wow, we love it when family comes to see us in Nauvoo.
