Wednesday, April 6, 2016 – Visitor’s Center, Lucy Mack Smith home
Today Sis. Johnson
& I were assigned to regular tour locations. Sister Johnson was assigned to
the home of Lucy Mack Smith, the mother the Prophet Joseph Smith. Sis. Johnson
said it was a tiny home but functional and it worked. It had the steepest staircase of any house in
all of Nauvoo. The children that visited
the house loved to climb up and down those stairs.
I was assigned to give
tours at the main Visitor’s Center. Most of my time was spent greeting people;
showing them around and helping them find their way around the entire Nauvoo
Township. It wasn’t a glamorous job but I got to meet hundreds of interesting
people.
