Saturday, July 8, 2017 – Sis. Johnson’s Birthday, Grandpa John’s Café, Rendezvous in Old Nauvoo

Today we said “Happy Birthday” to Sis. Johnson, she turned 29 years old, again! Her real age isn’t important because in my mind she still looks they way she did when I married her at age 21. 

To celebrate Sis. Johnson’s birthday, Elder Kyle Johnson and I took her out to lunch at “Grandpa John’s Café” here in Nauvoo. Sis. Johnson had her favorite cheeseburger and to top it all off, we had something much better than cake and ice cream; we had pie and ice cream. Mmmm-Goood!

 It was a good day for Sis. Johnson, all day she received phone calls from family, text messages and Facebook post with happy birthday greetings. At tonight’s “Rendezvous in Old Nauvoo” pre-show prayer meeting the whole cast sang happy birthday to her. Plus ice cream and cookies for everyone topped off a perfect day for Sis. Johnson. Not to mention standing ovations at the end of both of our “Rendezvous” performances tonight.
