Saturday, October 22, 2016 – P’Day, “Christmas Walk & Tree
Lighting”
We started early for
P-Day. Sis. Johnson and I made several
stops for supplies, printing, meetings and planning. Sis. Johnson & Sis.
Hacking are Co-Chairs of the big event in six weeks, “Christmas Walk & Tree
Lighting” and it requires a lot of Sis. Johnson’s time. There is a lot to do
and very little time to get it done. But we make progress everyday and it’s
coming together.
On our way to perform in
“Rendezvous in Old Nauvoo” this evening we came across seven deer in the
driveway to our house. They were all does or fawns. They saw us and casually
started walking away but something must have spooked them and the older ones bounded
over a fence like it was nothing.
Then on our way home
from Rendezvous, in the same spot, we saw a beautiful buck with a nice large
rack. He bounded over the same fence like the others jumped earlier. He was
very majestic, just beautiful.
