Saturday, October 07, 2017 – Rain, Trailer Preparation

This morning we drove to Keokuk to do our weekly shopping in a light rain. This is the third day in a row we’ve had rain but it has been very light. The big storm that was supposed to dumb one to two inches of rain on us passed to the north without giving us much rain. The lawns of Old Nauvoo could have used a heavy rain but they will have to go without again.

One of my chores for P-day was to prepare our little trailer for our trip home. It is hard to believe but our year and a half (20 months because we extended) in Nauvoo is coming to a close. Wow, how time flies. We only have three weeks left to work, serve, sing and dance before we leave. We have loved our mission here and we will miss Nauvoo. Our official release date is November first.
