September 10, 2017 – Elder Wayment, Service Elder’s for Dinner, Elder Coleman’s
20th Bday,
This morning Elder Wayment
was a church services with us. We saw him briefly on Wednesday morning for
Mission Training Meeting but today he attended the entire block of meetings.
It’s been less than two weeks since he had the accident and he is in excellent
spirits and recovering very well. It was good to see Elder Wayment out to
church.
This evening we had the Young Service Elders over
for dinner. There are seven now so we had a house full. Sis. Johnson really
enjoys having the house full of young men and feeding them. I think it reminds
her of raising her own six sons and preparing LARGE meals all the time.
Also, today was Elder
Coleman’s 20th birthday so of course we enjoyed singing “Happy
Birthday” and having cake and ice cream after our meal. Sis. Johnson heard that
Elder Coleman’s favorite candy is “Heath Bars” so she made the icing on the
cake especially for him. It had crumbled “Heath Bars” sprinkled as a thick
layer on top of the icing. Mmmm-Goood!
