September 22, 2017 – Blow VC & Main Street, Tree Crew & Old Dangerous
Trees
Friday we started with our usual routine of
blowing and cleaning the Women’s Garden, Visitor’s Center, Family Living
Center, Cultural Hall and Old Main Street. The Leaves are getting worse each
day we blow the sidewalks. The following day it doesn’t look like we’ve blown
them away at all.
While we blew the leaves
from Old Main Street I noticed FM’s tree crew setting up to take down another
old, diseased and dangerous tree. This one is a big one and located right
between two buildings. The interior of the trunk is completely rotted and
hollowed out. This tree and so many like it are not safe and they have to come
down.
Again today Elder Kyle Johnson and the other Young
Service Missionaries were helping move furniture and home furnishings for the
Conservation Department of FM. They’ve been helping a lot and doing a good job.
Maybe next week we will get to have them
back on our crew again.
