Saturday, June 11, 2016 – Frog, Baisch & Skinner, Prepare our
lesson
This morning we were
cleaning the sidewalks early even though it was our P-day. Also, it has been
soooo hot that all of the planters that line the visitor’s center sidewalks
need to be watered. They need water on Saturday so they will keep till Monday
when Sis. Johnson will water them again.
Next we were off to
Quincy Illinois to do our shopping. Our first stop was at the floral wholesale
house named Baisch & Skinner. Again it was like Christmas in June for Sis.
Johnson. She needed flowers to make an arrangement for the Relief Society
lesson she is teaching tomorrow. She also needed some supplies like floral
foam, container and bowl tape. Sis. Johnson was in her element designing
flowers when we got home this afternoon.
The rest of the
afternoon and evening we both worked on our lessons. Sis. Johnson’s in Relief
Society and I was asked to teach the same lesson in the priesthood. Now this is
no ordinary ward R.S. and Priesthood meeting. The classes are made up of all
the senior missionaries, about 80 in each class. It can be a little
intimidating to teach a huge room full of High Priests where most of them are
former Bishops, Stake Presidents, even Mission Presidents.
