Monday, August 08, 2016 – Pruning the flower beds
Yesterday Richard, RM’s
horticulturalist, visited Carthage with his family and was admiring the work
Sis. Johnson is doing with the flower beds and planters. Richard gave us some
recommendations and tips. As a result, one things I will be doing this week is
fertilizing all of the planters and flower beds. They’ve been in the ground for
over 3 months now and it’s time for some plant food.
Richard also suggested
that Sis. Johnson prune back some of the tallest foliage plants. They’ve been
growing sooo fast and sooo well that it’s time for some of them to get a
haircut. But all in all, Richard complemented us on how well the grounds look.
When we get moved back to Nauvoo this September or October, Richard will be our
new boss.
