Wednesday, March 16, 2016 – Zion National Park, Ben & Marilyn Ross

Today we had a long drive, we stopped in Page for lunch and then we were off again for Zion National Park. We drove through Zion from one end to the other and only stopped at the visitor’s center. We didn’t have time to board the shuttle bus and visit any of the sites up the canyon. We did the shuttle the last time we were here but we would have like to have done it again. Even so the park is beautiful. We enjoyed our drive very much.

Once we left the main part of the park we drove over to an overlook off of the Interstate 15 we’ve never been to before. Once again the view from there was very beautiful. The sun was low and it made for great vistas.

We arrived at Ben & Marilyn Ross’ at about 6:16pm and Marilyn prepared a wonderful dinner of corned beef and cabbage, in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day tomorrow. It was very good. We also had a good time visiting for a long time and reminiscing the old times.

Later they taught us a new Dominos game called “Mexican Train”. It was fun and we didn’t finish until almost 11:00pm. We had a good time.
